As we discussed at the annual meeting our dues will need to modestly increase
and due to the fluctuations in enrollment numbers, we have had to wait until our
AAA tryouts were complete to post final Season Fees. It is important for
everyone to note that these fees cover the cost of operating the Select
organization and nothing else - what comes in goes out. Each year we deal with
changes in ice costs, operating expenses, the length of our season and the
number of teams and players in the association. The biggest change we have seen
with this season is in it's length. Based on overwhelming feedback from everyone
in the association, we abandoned the shorter season from last year and returned
to our longer season. The results are incrementally higher fees.
Additionally this year (and based on your input), we have added ice this
season for specific development sessions for all players. With our renewed focus
of development and growing the sport at all levels, we will be offering specific
dates each month for your player to come work on skills, outside of their team
practices. There will be more to come on skills
sessions.
