Everyone grocery shops - why not have it benefit the Colorado Select???

We have an exciting fundraising venture for the Colorado Select teams. Each team will have the opportunity to participate in our King Soopers Gift Card Fundraiser. This is something your team can do all season long. Teams will be responsible for gathering orders for King Soopers Gift Cards - they can be ordered in any amount and are refillable - and best of all - the Colorado Select team that sells the cards will get 5% of the face value and the refills that are made during the season!

So if your team sells $5000 worth of gift cards, your team will receive $250 with $25 of that going to the Select organization. We currently have two Select teams participating in the program, which has netted over $800 for the two teams combined since the program began in January 2012.

How does it work? You will need to take orders from friends, family, coworkers. Fill out the attached form, and attach a check to cover the cost of the gift card. Once you have completed taking orders, your team manager will need to contact Caryn Johnson, 303-589-9664 or planetjpj@aol.com to submit your checks and have the order placed at King Soopers Gift Services Dept. Checks should be written to CSGHA, so the purchase can be made directly from the Select organization.

The turnaround time after your team manager turns in your order is approximately one week. Once your initial order is placed and you receive your gift card all you have to do is reload the card any time your balance gets low. It is simple to do and that is where the real profits begin to roll in. Each time you reload your team earns an additional 5%. King Soopers pays out the proceeds on a monthly basis after each $5000 in card sales/reloads. It may seem like a lot but with only 12 families participating last season, proceeds were paid approx every two months.

All teams will need to pay the Select organization 10% of the proceeds since this is done under the umbrella of the Colorado Select's nonprofit status. (ie $250 in proceeds results in a payment to the Select of $25)

See the attached order form for more information. Cards can be mailed by teams to purchasers out of state as King Soopers gift cards are good at Kroger stores nationwide! (including Fred Meyer, Ralphs, Frys, City Market, etc.) Additionally, the form will be available on our website.
