Tier Pre-Tryout Skates

Colorado Select will be hosting two pre-tryout sessions the week of August 17th to help prepare the girls for Tier Tryouts. The Select staff will focus on high tempo skill based training. All sessions will be coached by Jesse Davis, Chad MaCleod, and/or other CSGHA coaches.

Because of Covid-19, there are extra procedures/restrictions in place at the Edge Ice Arena as they are following the new guidelines set by the Colorado Department of Health and Environment. Please review them at the right of the page before registering your daughter.

 Because of the 25 players at a time restriction, registration will work on a first come, first served basis. 

This summer we will also be requiring 2020-2021 USA Hockey registrations for each player on the ice. If you have not yet registered your daughter for the 2020-2021 season, please go to - https://membership.usahockey.com/register/age to register before filling out this form.

Summer Skills Clinics

Colorado Select will continue hosting our annual summer ice clinics the week of August 10th. The Select staff will focus on power-skating, puck skills, & game concepts during these sessions. The sessions will be a great way for our athletes to get back on the ice after the extended break and sharpen their skills throughout the summer leading up to the 2020-2021 season. All sessions will be coached by Jesse Davis, Chad MaCleod, and/or other CSGHA coaches.

Because of Covid-19, there are extra procedures/restrictions in place at the Edge Ice Arena as they are following the new guidelines set by the Colorado Department of Health and Environment. Please review them at https://www.coloradogirlshockey.com/camp-clinics prior to registering your daughter.

- Because of the 25 players at a time restriction, registration will work on a first come, first served basis. 

- Because of the possibly fluid nature of restrictions from the district, county, and state, we will be doing registrations on a weekly basis. The registration form for the following week will be posted on the Friday of the previous week. We will notify everyone through posts on our social media channels and website when the new registration form has gone live.

For each session the players will be separated by age and skill level when necessary to ensure each athletes maximum training experience.

Select 8U Summer Development Camp

Colorado Select is excited to announce our inaugural  Summer 8U Camp. The camp will focus on individual technical skill development through skating, puck handling, passing and shooting drills, as well as the development of tactical team and game awareness through small area games. In addition to the on-ice sessions, the camp will include an off-ice session as well.

The camp will be run by our Director of Hockey Operations Jesse Davis and our new 8U Head Coach Colin Grodzki. The camp is open to all athletes born between 2012 - 2015.

Registration is limited to 25. Sign up today to guarantee your daughter a spot.

Procedures and Restrictions

  • Organized youth or adult recreational sports leagues in groups of up to 25 players, excluding coaches and referees/umpires, are permitted.

  • Parents, guardians, and spectators are not allowed in the facility.

  • Lockerooms will be open there will be mark areas to sit that will be 6ft apart, please observe social distancing rules.

  • Showers will be off and not available.

  • Skaters must be dropped off outside of the facility in the BACK, as we are currently not opening up common areas

  • Skaters are encouraged to come dressed ready to skate or as dressed as possible.

  • There will be 30 minutes in-between each Hockey session so that staff can clean and sanitize the occupied areas.

  • Skaters, coaches, and chaperones agree to stay home if they are ill, symptomatic, or believe they have been in contact with anyone who may have COVID-19.

  • Coaches are required to supervise their skaters at all times while inside the facility, including the time prior to and following the session, all while maintain proper social distancing.

  • Skaters and coaches will be allowed in the facility 15 minutes prior to the start of their designated session and must exit the building no later than 10 minutes after the session ends.

  • Skaters must conduct all warmup and cool down activities outside of the facility.  No off ice or dry land training is allowed inside.

  • All staff, skaters, and coaches must wear a mask while in the facility and off the ice.  Masks are not required but highly encouraged while on the ice.

  • All skaters must use their own personal equipment, essential items only, and must remove these items when leaving the facility. Skate rental will not be open and is not allowed.

  • Lockerooms will be open there will be mark areas to sit that will be 6ft apart, please observe social distancing rules

  • Showers will be off and not available.

  • Coaches are responsible for ensuring safe social distancing while on the ice and assisting staff with maintenance of social distancing while in the designated waiting areas.

  • Limit body contact during hockey training sessions.

  • Skaters can bring their essential personal items (water bottle and tissues) on the ice to be stored in designated areas on the boards.

  • Coaches must wipe down and sanitize, with provided supplies, their area after each session.

  • Bathrooms will be open for patrons

  • All water fountains will be closed off. Skaters must bring their own water bottle.

  • Skate sharpening and pro-shop type items will not be available.

  • Trash can lids will remain open, so patrons will not need to touch the lids to throw anything out.

  • Hand Sanitizer will be fully stocked and readily available.

  • A designated employee will continuously monitor and clean the high-traffic areas, at an hourly basis at minimum.
