5th Annual Blankets of Hope a Success

By Andy Atencio, 01/08/16, 8:30AM MST

The blanket making event is where girls ranging from the ages of 6-19 from Colorado Select Girls Hockey Association come together to work on warm and cozy Blankets of Hope. This year the over 30 blankets that we made will be donate to the Ronald McDonald House. This is our 5th year coming together to give back to areas in our community. We are looking forward to counting to keep this tradition going and growing it over the years.

Two dozen players from the 19U AAA, 16U AAA,19U AA, 14U AA, and 10U teams came together on one evening to make dozens of blankets that are then donated to those staying at the Ronald McDonald House during their treatment.  A few days later a large group of players for the association's recreational teams (19U A, 14U A, 12U, and 10U teams) gathered to make even more blankets.

The CSGHA would like to thank all those that participated, those that donated blankets AND the members of the Community Service Committee that worked together to organize the event and make it another successful year!
