Drenched 5K - 16AAA Team

16AAA Kicks Off Season with 5K Run!

The 2012-2013 16AAA team participated in the Drenched 5K Run on August 19th!  Proceeds from this run will benefit Denver Firefighters!  Special congratulations to goalie, Julia Johnson who not only was the first Select player to cross the finish line, but the first female to cross the finish line!

CSGHA Community Service Blanket Project

In January many of the Select Players participated in making blankets for Children's Hospital and Senior Citizens.  A Friday evening was spent at the Homewood Suites in Littleton making nearly 100 blankets.  Special thanks to Noble Energy and Mike Ward Infinity of Littleton for contributing to the purchase of the blankets.  Blankets will be delivered by the players as well.  GOOD WORK SELECT Players!

14AA and Littleton Bantam AA Community Service

Colorado Select U14AA and Littleton Hockey BantamAA  spent time at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children on December 19th creating Artist Trading Cards. They then put together over 60 kits for patients to create their own Artist Trading Cards. Each kit included supplies  for the patients to make two trading cards, a trading card created by one of the Hockey players, and a special note of encouragement for the patient.  The Hospital was thrilled with how everything went that day and is planning on making this an on going project for the Hospital. Awesome Job Players!!

U14AAA and U16AAA Teams Help to Brighten the Holidays for Seniors

Members of the U14AAA and the U16AAA Colorado Select Girls Hockey Association visited the Sterling House of Littleton to help decorate for the holidays and brighten the Holiday season for the Senior Citizens in residence there. The girls hung lights and ornaments, decorations and trees throughout the senior and assisted living facility in Littleton, Colorado. Special thanks to the girls who participated: Kristen Cobbett, Marissa Hodge, Natasha Steinle, Valerie Turgeon, Taylor Kreiling, Mackenzie Roberts, Emily Harris, Kiersten Cotter, Holly Billett, Drue Engleman, Emily Birch,  Taylor Osowski, and parents Tonya Harris, Karla Cobbett, Elisabeth Turgeon and Kirsten Kreiling for their assistance.

Food Drive Success!

Great job to all of our players and teams who participated in the Jeffco Action Center Thanksgiving Meal and Food Drive!  We collected over 1000 food items to help families in need.  Special thanks to all of our captains who encouraged their teams to participate. 

CSGHA 2nd Annual Food & Thanksgiving Meal Drive

Join us for the 2nd Annual CSGHA Food & Thanksgiving Meal Drive for Jeffco Action Center.  The Colorado Select will be hosting a food drive again this year to benefit those in need in our community. From now until November 15, 2011 we are asking teams to participate in one of three ways:  

1) You can gather your team and distribute bags and food drive flyers in specific neighborhoods and return one week later to pick up any donations. 

2) Each team member can chip in a minimum of $3-5 and then go shopping as a team to purchase food at a discount store (ie Big Lots, WalMart etc.)
 
3)  Gather specific items needed for Thanksgiving Meal Boxes - each team that chooses this options would need to gather enough items for 2 meals. (See Flyer distributed to your team for specific items)
 
There will also be a collection box in the Edge where items can be dropped.
